Main commercial partner of Brazilian animal protein exports, China will host one of the most important events for export planning, the China International Import Expo (CIIE), which will be promoted by the Chinese government from today (5) until 10 November in Shanghai. The Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA) in partnership with the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) will be present by Brazilian companies to foster new business opportunities.
With an exclusive space inside the Brazilian pavilion of Apex-Brasil, ABPA will provide visitors with information about the measures taken by the sector during the pandemic, the care between production and the environment, as well as information about the quality and flavor of products Brazilians, all through the digital platform “Brazilian Poultry and Pork”, meeting the new format required by the health and distance protocols.
“Being present at CIIE China is an opportunity to strengthen ties with the Chinese Government and make contacts with importers, at a favorable time for the increase in business between Brazilians and Chinese,” says Ricardo Santin, president of ABPA.
Leader in Brazilian pork and chicken exports, China is the main promoter of sector exports in 2020. It was the destination of 376.7 thousand tons of pork between January and September this year, with revenues of US $ 914.3 million . For Brazilian chicken meat, shipments totaled 514.1 thousand tons in the same period, which generated revenues of US $ 984.1 million.
