Dominican Republic sevenfold poultry slaughterhouse qualifications in Brazil

The Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA) celebrated the qualifications of new Brazilian poultry slaughterhouses for the Dominican Republic, according to information passed this week by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply of Brazil.

In all, there are 28 new qualified plants, increasing the number of qualifications seven times – previously, only 4 plants were qualified for the destination.

The new qualifications are from units of Cooperativa Lar and the companies BRF and JBS (which already exported to this market), located in the states of Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Paraná, São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso, Goiás, Distrito Federal and Bahia.

“The Dominican Republic is a market that we have been working with for a few years and these new skills come to consolidate an important partnership between the two countries. It is certainly one of the most promising markets in the region, which will make it possible to further diversify our exports and should contribute to the expansion of the sector’s results in 2021 ”, analyzes Ricardo Santin, President of ABPA.
